Flowers and Friendship

By delivering roses on Valentine’s Day to residents in senior care facilities, Cupid Crew helps combat feelings of isolation and loneliness. Employees volunteer for the program, handing out nearly 6,000 roses at 70 senior care facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Nebraska, and Minnesota.

Volunteers from the Vital Life Foundation and Wish of a Lifetime are spreading love to older adults for Valentine’s Day.  

The program is championed by Wish of a Lifetime by AARP, a Vital Life charitable partner, and more than 230,000 roses are shared in 300 cities nationwide. For those who participate, the act of handing each senior a rose unlocks a genuine connection between them. “This is one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done,” one Marquis staff member reflected. “We made every resident’s day splendid.”
